Under the Chhatrapati Shivaji
Maharaj Shetkari Samman Yojana, the Osmanabad District Central Cooperative
Bank’s 34599 farmers’ loan has been
waived off by the State Govt in a historical
decision.
The State Govt. has
transferred Rs. 175.10 crore to
34599 farmers’ bank accounts.
These farmers at present have been found suitable for loan waiving in the
district. This was disclosed by the ODCC Bank’s MD Vijay Ghonse
Patil. He said that of the Rs. 175.10 crore,
Rs. 148.90 crore have been transferred
to 23129 loan holders’ bank accounts
and Rs. 26.19 crore will be transferred
to 11470 incentive loan holders.
Under the loan
waiving scheme, three green lists
have been declared, 82,538 farmers have
been, after verification, found suitable for loan waiving. These qualified farmers have been so far
waived off farm loan to the tune of Rs. 175Crores

Yojana, the farmers who had availed farm loans from the ODCC Bank and
nationalized banks, the State Govt. has so far transferred Rs. 19,000 crore in
the bank accounts of 41 lakh farmers in the state. In all 77 lakh farmers had applied for loan
waiving. After verification, 69 lakh farmers have been found suitable for loan waiving. The process of transferring loan amount of these farmers is
underway in the state. It is learnt that
the State Govt. will even waive farm
loan of the farmers who have not
applied for loan waiving. Un to the last is the aim of the government for loan
waiving.
